ABOUT RANITIDINE
• Ranitidine belongs to a class of H2 antihistamine.Ranitidine is used in the treatment of Hyperacidity, Heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease.
• Apart from this, Ranitidine tablet is also consumed with medicines that cause gastric irritation such as NSAIDs and oral steroids.
HOW RANITIDINE WORKS
Ranitidine is a histamine H2 receptor antagonist. It works by reducing the acid produced in the stomach. This helps to relieve acid-related indigestion and heartburn.SIDE EFFECTS OF RANITIDINE TABLET

Quick Information Regarding Ranitidine Tablet -
•If you are also taking other medications to treat acidity (e.g., antacid), take them 2 hours before or after taking Ranitidine Tablet.
•Avoid taking soft drinks, citrus fruits like orange and lemon, which can irritate the stomach and increase acid secretion.
•Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking Ranitidine Tablet for 2 weeks as you may be suffering from some other problems.
•Do not stop taking the medication without talking to your doctor.
•In April 2020, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)Trusted Source requested that all forms of prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) ranitidine (Zantac) be removed from the U.S. market.
•This recommendation was made because unacceptable levels of NDMA, a probable carcinogen (cancer-causing chemical), were found in some ranitidine products.
