ABOUT RANITIDINE • Ranitidine belongs to a class of  H2 antihistamine.Ranitidine is used in the treatment of Hyperacidity, Heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease. • Apart from this, Ranitidine tablet is also consumed with medicines that cause gastric irritation such as NSAIDs and oral steroids. Effervescent tablets The effervescent tablet is dropped into a glass of water before administration during which Carbon di oxide (CO2) is liberated. It can be taken without water. It facilitates rapid tablet disintegration and drug dissolution. The special packaging is needed to avoid exposure of these tablets to moisture.
